When ROBOT Principal, Lara August, took on the position as Marketing Chair of Southtown Mainstreet Alliance in 2003, she had several goals for the Marketing Committee: 1) Brand the community, 2) Inform San Antonio locals and visitors of area attractions, 3) Build community involvement from area businesses and individuals, 4) Solicit corporate sponsorship.

After three years of extensive marketing research and community involvement, the Southtown Marketing Committee, with the help of some pro-bono work by ROBOT, has developed a group of marketing resources to help Southtown achieve these goals: a cohesive marketing plan, a new logo, printed newsletters for Southtown members, email newsletters to inform subscribers about upcoming events, brochures, area maps, an area business directory, media kits, sponsorship packets and more!

Southtown took on a new Director, Juan Gutierrez, this year whose responsibilities include locking in the funding needed to keep the organization running. With these tools, Juan and Southtown are in a better position to get the resources needed to accomplish the organization's mission.
